Looking for Eric

Last night I delivered a black Highwayman style coat to Eric Cantona. It was the final piece of his stage outfit for his concert tour for his new album of cool songs, written and performed by him, of course. The coat got stuck in customs and arrived at the last minute. When I dashed backstage at the Bloomsbury Theatre an hour before the show, his team were incredibly friendly, telling me Eric wasn’t around. I couldn’t understand why his tour manager was grinning at me and taking my picture. It’s okay, I don’t need to see Eric I blurted out, imagining he must be composing himself for his first London performance. And then I turned around - and there he was.
