Here is Nico looking demure and alluring. I saw her perform in the late 70’s at the Music Machine in Camden Town. The venue was full of punk rockers, I found myself standing next to Sid Vicious at one point. I was naive and idiotic, aged 16, and I didn’t really get it, the droning voice and accompanying piano. In the spirit of punk, I threw my empty plastic beer glass at the stage. I was nearly lynched.⁠
