Job Title:                     Interim Head of Ecommerce

Key Stakeholders:       Creative Director, Head of Product, Head of Brand, Financial Controller

This interim role will keep the seat warm in the commercial department for the next twelve months, with a primary focus on Ecommerce. You’ll lead the hands-on delivery of our Ecommerce strategy to maximise online sales and revenue.

Your main focus will be growing online sales, revenue and delivering plans together with the Head of Product to maximise and rationalise margins via our online channels. To support your success, you’ll work closely with the senior management team day-to-day to keep you aligned with our wider business goals and purpose.


  • Responsible for Design, UX, Content, Product Upload, SEO, Navigation, Information Architecture, Online Technical Infrastructure (Platform, Store Fronts, Payment and Logistic systems), Performance and Functionality.
  • Development and delivery of the Ecommerce strategy, focusing on sales and revenue maximisation, alongside an exceptional client experience.
  • Ownership of all E-commerce activity including acquisition, retention, conversion, analysis.
  • Management of P&L and E-commerce budget alongside Financial Director.
  • Drive strategic client growth and retention across SEO, PPC, paid social and CRM email marketing channels
  • Management of digital marketing agency and CRM platform, Ometria.
  • Analysis of reports to encourage data-driven decision-making within the Ecommerce department with a focus on trends to optimise sales and margin.
  • Be able to clearly analyse and present data at all levels by linking them to the company’s strategic goals.
  • Responsible for regularly updating the business with reports and figures, highlighting positive growth together with suggestions and ideas on how to improve week on week
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Product to ensure optimum sales growth and improve blended margin by developing a strategic digital marketing and sales plan focus on stock inventory.
  • Continuous review and focus of the UX  journey through E-commerce to optimise retention 
  • Work together with key stakeholders including the Creative Director, Head of Brand and Head of Product to ensure alignment of role priorities with business priorities
  • Relationship and growth management of our external agencies and E-commerce & CRM Executive
  • Management of omni-channel shopping experience, including working with the store on stock replenishments and reporting and click-and-collect
  • Providing a weekly analysis and overview of E-commerce performance and updating budgets and forecasts accordingly


  • You must have a strong understanding of e-commerce platforms and technology, including website optimisation tools, analytics software and SEO.
  • Proficient in Shopify Plus and additional plug ins
  • Proven experience in delivering an E-commerce and digital marketing strategy resulting in sales and revenue growth
  • A preference for creating data and analytics, used to deliver and influence strategic E-commerce decisions
  • Excellent budget management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
  • An open nature to build and foster key stakeholder relationships

Requirements from the role holder:
